Unpuzzle Business is a 3D escape room game,  made in Unreal5. Where you escape from a haunted house with a ghost companion.


Key Contributions:

  • Ghost Companion AI:Designed and implemented an intelligent companion AI using Unreal’s Behavior Tree system. The ghost subtly guides players toward objectives by dynamically adjusting its movement and focus, providing hints without spoiling puzzle solutions.

  • Modular Event System:Built a flexible, data-driven event system that can be attached to any actor as a component. Enabled designers to easily bind and trigger events across the game, supporting scalable puzzle logic and dynamic interactions.

  • Puzzle Interaction Architecture:Engineered a core interaction framework, creating a base component for all interactable objects. Allowed for easy extension and customization of object behaviors, streamlining the creation of new puzzles and ensuring consistent interaction logic.

  • Cross-Disciplinary Support:Collaborated closely with designers and audio teams to define clear pipelines for puzzle setup, event triggers, and feedback systems, improving iteration speed and overall gameplay polish.

  • Clean & Scalable Codebase:Implemented modular, well-documented code to support future expansion and reduce technical debt, making it easier for the team to iterate on puzzle designs and AI behaviors.
